Luke Beltavski and 
William Barber have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.
 
Beltavski has a GPA of 3.93 while majoring in mechanical engineering. He was named First Team All-NEC and to Phil Steele's All-NEC First Team while anchoring the offensive line. He will advance to the national ballot for a chance to be Academic All-America at the end of the month.
 
Barber, who has a GPA of 3.86, is pursuing his MBA. This is Barber's first national academic award. He started all 12 games and recorded career-highs with 55 tackles, six pass breakups and 2.5 TFLs along with an interception and a sack.
 
The Academic All-District® program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible for the distinction, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, and compete in at least 90 percent of the institution's games or start at least 66 percent of the games.
