MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team is set to begin a stretch of 12 consecutive conference games with a weekend series at Lindenwood. The Colonials will face off against the Lions on Friday, January 10, at 6:00 PM ET, followed by the series finale on Saturday, January 11, at 3:00 PM ET. Both games will stream live on FloHockey.
RMU LATELY
The Colonials (6-14-2, 0-7-1 AHA) are coming off a challenging series against Yale, falling 8-1 in the first game and narrowly losing 5-4 in overtime in the second.
Madison Primeau scored her second goal of the season in game one, bringing her just three points shy of reaching 50 career points. In the second contest, forward
Veronica Bac (2g, 1a) and
Janelle Evans (1g, 2a) recorded three-point efforts, while
Morgan Giannone tallied a goal and an assist. Defenseman
Thalia D'Elia added two assists, showcasing her playmaking ability. In net, sophomore goaltender
Maggie Hatch made 48 saves in the overtime thriller. Hatch has recorded 45 or more saves in a game eight times during her career.
MULTIPOINT EFFORTS
Against Yale, forwards
Morgan Giannone and
Janelle Evans picked up their ninth career multipoint effort. Giannone in 90 career games owns 15 goals, 19 assists and 34 points. Evans, in her sophomore season has appeared in 56 games for the Colonials, producing 12 goals, 28 assists and 40 points.
ALL-TIME VS. LINDENWOOD
RMU boasts a strong historical record against Lindenwood, standing at 37-8-1 (.815) since their first meeting in 2011. The Colonials have recorded 12 shutouts against the Lions and have played nine overtime games in the series.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
Lindenwood (3-16-1, 2-6-0 AHA) enters the series on a four-game losing streak. Their two conference wins this season came against Syracuse and Mercyhurst. Senior forward Morgan Neitzke leads the Lions offensively, pacing the team in goals, assists, and points (7-7—14). On the defensive end, Josey Dunne has been a standout, blocking a team-high 50 shots. In net, Lindenwood has rotated between three goalies—Catherine Hodgins, Anna LaRose, and Madison Bowtell—each securing one win this season.
UP NEXT
Following the Lindenwood series, RMU will return home to Clearview Arena to host RIT for another conference matchup. The series is set for January 17-18, with puck drop scheduled for 3:00 PM both days.
