INDIANAPOLIS – RMU women's basketball senior guard
Aislin Malcolm was named the Under Armour #HLWBB Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Malcolm, a 5-11 senior guard from Carnegie, Pennsylvania, was named the #HLWBB Player of the Week after leading RMU to a 2-0 week to begin the 2025-26 campaign.
A transfer from Pitt, Malcolm has provided an immediate impact for the Colonials, averaging 23.0 PPG to lead RMU. Malcolm has started in both contests for the Colonials, averaging 32 minutes per game. She has been an offensive leader for RMU with 46 points in two games. Her 23.0 PPG is second best in the Horizon League.
Against UIC, Malcolm dropped a career-high 26 points, shooting 50% from the floor. In RMU's 70-61 win against Akron, Malcolm scored 20 points and went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line to lead the Colonials. To round out her statistics for the week, Malcolm also contributed with nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and one steal.
Youngstown's Sarah Baker was named the Under Armour #HLWBB Freshman of the Week, averaging 11.0 points and 5.5 rebounds in her first week back in action after last season's injury. Baker led all scorers with 16 points, going 7-for-11 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free-throw line in Youngstown State's win at North Dakota.
