Varner Appointed to NCAA Division I Softball Rules Subcommittee

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -  RMU Softball coach Jexx Varner has been appointed to the NCAA Division I Softball Rules Subcommittee.
 
The 11-member subcommittee is responsible for proposing and evaluating specific playing rule changes for NCAA softball, ensuring the rules govern the sport effectively at the highest collegiate level. Its key focus areas include enhancing player safety, improving the pace of play, and maintaining the integrity of the game.
 
"I'm really excited and humbled for this opportunity," said Varner. "This is a very dynamic moment in time for our sport, and I'm really looking forward to ushering in positive change for the amazing women and people of our game."
 
Varner's term expires in August 2029.
