MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU women's basketball will close out the non-conference portion of its schedule with a matchup against Point Park on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the UPMC Events Center. The Colonials come into the matchup with an 8-2 overall record and 2-0 in conference play.
RMU LATELY
RMU moved to 2-0 in Horizon League action and 8-2 overall on the season with a 60-52 win over Detroit Mercy on Tuesday night. The Colonials had five players score double-digits in the win, with
Myriam Traore leading the way with 13 points.
Aislin Malcolm contributed across the board for RMU with 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
Noa Givon and
Bailey Kuhns each had 10 points while Givon also pulled down a season-high nine boards to lead RMU on the glass.
The Colonials are 4-0 in their last four matches, picking up wins against Mercyhurst, Northern Kentucky, California (Pa.), and Detroit Mercy. RMU's last loss occurred on November 26, when the Colonials fell to Eastern Michigan 64-54 in Ypsilanti. This 4-0 stretch by the Colonials is tied for the best in the Horizon League, with Purdue Fort Wayne being the only other team currently on a four-game win streak.
SCOUTING PPU
In their second year of Division II, the Pioneers have begun the season at 3-5 overall and 1-4 in MEC play. Point Park heads to Moon Township after losing its most recent matchup to conference opponent Concord 78-64 on Wednesday in Pittsburgh. On the road this season, the Pioneers are 1-4, picking up their lone road win at Shippensburg back on Nov. 19. The Colonials are led by the duo of Camille Fultz and Elizabeth Boyd, as the pair is each averaging over 12 points a game. On the glass, Fultz is averaging 4.5 RPG, and Boyd is averaging 7.8. Former Robert Morris player Fatim Sarr Ndow is also making an impact for the Pioneers, averaging 7.4 PPG and 8.4 RPG to lead Point Park on the glass.
Point Park is coached by Dave Scarborough, who is in his fourth season at the helm for the Pioneers. Scarborough is a familiar face at RMU with Scarborough spending two years as the Director of Basketball Operations for the RMU men's basketball team from 2009-2011.

Robert Morris and Point Park have met 16 times to date, with the Colonials holding an undefeated record against the Pioneers. At home against Point Park, RMU is 11-0 with the Colonials picking up their 16
th straight win last year with a 68-44 win at the UPMC Events Center. Last year's win against the Pioneers was
Chandler McCabe's first win as the head coach of the Colonials.
