INDIANAPOLIS – The RMU women's track and field team was ranked fifth in the 2025-26 Under Armour Women's Indoor Preseason Poll, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The Colonials received 57 points in the voting process, placing ahead of Northern Kentucky, IU Indy, Detroit Mercy, Wright State, and Cleveland State.
Youngstown State was picked as the favorite this season, picking up eight out of 10 of the first-place votes while totaling 98 points.
Last year at the 2025 Horizon League Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Colonials finished fifth in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The DMR team of
Ailena Reynolds-Diaz,
Franny Kabana,
Morgan Fuller, and
Samantha Hennen took home gold (10 points) with a time of 11:57.58, breaking the record by almost 18 seconds.
Hennen also won gold and set the school record in the 3000m crossing in 9:34.39, besting her previous school record by over six seconds.
