Three RMU Women’s Lacrosse Players Earn College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Honors

Irwin an All-American Finalist for second year in a row

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU Women's Lacrosse announces that three student-athletes – midfielders Jenna Irwin, Gia Anthony, and Emma Hawks – have been named to the highly regarded College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team.

The CSC Academic All-District® program highlights student-athletes who represent the pinnacle of academic and athletic achievement across NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA III, and NAIA. To be eligible, student-athletes must meet rigorous academic standards in addition to significant on-field performance criteria.

Jenna Irwin (Senior/Liverpool, N.Y.)
The Colonials' leading scorer from the past two seasons graduated from Robert Morris this past semester with a stellar 3.98 GPA, majoring in Early Childhood Education. This past season, Irwin showed her dominance, boasting career bests in goals (41) and draw controls (78), while winning MAC Midfielder of the Year to complete her remarkable career. She appeared in 19 games for RMU, averaging 2.42 goals per game and 4.59 draw controls per contest—both of which ranked in the top five in the MAC. This is the third time in her four years that Irwin has been named to the All-District Team and her second consecutive year as a finalist for the Academic All-America® Team.

Gia Anthony (Graduate/Syracuse, N.Y.)
A captain and veteran presence for the Colonials, Anthony finished the 2025 season with a perfect 4.00 GPA, earning her Master's degree in Business Administration. In 2024-25, she started all 19 games, tying her career high with 17 goals while adding a team-high three game-winning goals. Over her career, she appeared in 70 games, scoring 53 goals and 10 assists for 63 points, along with 38 ground balls and 14 draw controls.

Emma Hawks (Junior/Finksburg, Md.)
A consistent two-way player for RMU, Hawks finished the 2025 season with a 3.96 GPA, earning her degree in Nursing. This marks her first time being recognized on the CSC Academic All-District Team, as she was most recently honored on the MAC All-Academic Team following this season. In 2025, she started all 19 games, tallying 14 ground balls, eight caused turnovers, and four draw controls.

Irwin has now advanced to the prestigious CSC Academic All-America® ballot. CSC members will now vote for the national teams, with First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America® honorees set to be announced on Tuesday, July 8.
