MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU men's hockey team today announced its full 2025-26 regular season schedule, a slate featuring formidable non-conference opponents and Atlantic Hockey America action. The Colonials are set for 34 regular season contests and two exhibition games which include 16 games at Clearview Arena.
"We're incredibly excited to announce our 2025-26 schedule, which is designed to challenge our team from day one," said Head Coach
Derek Schooley. "The non-conference portion features some of the nation's top programs, which will be crucial for our development and preparation for the rigorous AHA season. We believe this schedule will give our fans a fantastic opportunity to see high-level hockey and rally behind our team as we pursue a playoff run."
RMU begins the campaign with two exhibitions. First, they'll play at Bowling Green on Saturday, October 4 and then host the University of Waterloo on Sunday, October 5.
The non-conference schedule features early road tests against top Division I programs. RMU will travel to face Michigan on Thursday, October 16 and Friday, October 17, followed by a trip to Notre Dame on Friday, October 24 and Saturday, October 25. RMU will host a non-conference series against LIU on Friday, November 7 and Saturday, November 8, and visit Lindenwood for a pair of games on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22.
AHA play begins on Friday, October 31, as the Colonials host Niagara at home before traveling to face the Purple Eagles on Saturday, November 1 for a home-and-home series.
Throughout the season, RMU will host several AHA opponents at home including RIT (Nov. 14-15), Mercyhurst (Nov. 29), Sacred Heart (Jan. 3), Holy Cross (Jan. 23-24), Bentley (Jan. 30-31), Canisius (Feb. 6-7) and Niagara (Feb. 14).
Road conference matchups include visits to Mercyhurst (Nov. 28, Feb. 27), Air Force (Dec. 5-6), Sacred Heart (Dec. 30), RIT (Jan. 9-10), Army (Jan. 16-17), Niagara (Feb. 13), and Canisius (Feb. 20-21). The Colonials will conclude their regular season with a home-and-home series against Mercyhurst, wrapping up at home on Saturday, February 28.
