MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU women's hockey team will make program history on Saturday, January 31, by competing in its first-ever outdoor game against conference rival Penn State. The highly anticipated matchup will take place at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania, as part of Penn State Hockey's "Hockey Valley" event.
"This is an incredible opportunity for our program and a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our student-athletes," said Head Coach
Logan Bittle. "Playing in an iconic venue like Beaver Stadium against a great conference opponent like Penn State is something that will create lasting memories and put our team on a fantastic stage."
The outdoor game is one of several major storylines as the Colonials enter the 2025–26 season with renewed energy and focus. RMU has welcomed 10 fresh faces to the roster, a group of newcomers who will join a seasoned core of returning players to form one of the deepest and most dynamic teams the program has seen. This infusion of talent represents another step in the growth of RMU women's hockey, as the Colonials continue building toward long-term success while embracing the tradition and challenge of Atlantic Hockey America competition.
