HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The RMU Men's Golf team was led by a fantastic performance from
Chase Bokker, who secured a tie for fifth place at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational to open the season.
Bokker was exceptional for the Colonials, finishing with a brilliant total score of 7-under-par, tying a best individual tournament by par in school history. The was also the best 3-round score by par on record. After an opening round of 2-over, he caught fire with a 4-under in the second round. He saved his best for last, carding a 5-under-par in the final round to climb the leaderboard and secure his spot in the top 5.
Following Bokker,
Ben Sheridan posted consistent rounds of 1-over-par each day, finishing with a total score of 3-over-par to tie for 48th place.
Chuck Tragesser finished the tournament at 4-over-par, with his best performance coming in the opening round where he posted an impressive 3-under-par.
Peyton Iverson (6-over-par) and
Tanner Cardwell rounded out the lineup for the Colonials.
Competing as an individual,
Connor McKenzie finished the event at 8-over-par. His highlight was an excellent second round, where he shot 2-under-par.
Next up, the Colonials will compete in the Earl Yestingsmeier Invitational in Muncie, Indiana, an event hosted by Ball State.
