MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The RMU Volleyball team is set to travel to Blacksburg, Virginia, for the Hokie Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech on September 12-13. The Colonials play in three matches in the tournament over the course of two days.
 
The action kicks off for the Colonials on September 12, with a 2:00 p.m. matchup against Marshall (4-3). This will be the 10th meeting between the two programs, with the Thundering Herd holding a slight 5-4 edge in the all-time series.
 
Later that evening, the Colonials will take on the tournament host, Virginia Tech (5-1), at 7:00 p.m. RMU will be looking for its first-ever victory against the Hokies, as Virginia Tech has taken the previous two meetings in the series.
 
The tournament concludes for RMU on September 13, with a noon contest against the UMES (2-5). The Colonials hold a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series.

RMU LATELY
The Colonials (1-5) took the first match of the Chick fil-A Pittsburgh Volleyball Classic with a 5-set victory over FDU on September 5. RMU fell to Loyola (Md.) and Duquesne in five sets in the final two contests.
