STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Over the weekend, the Robert Morris women's track and field team competed in the Penn State National Open at the Multi-Sport Facility & Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track, with
Samantha Hennen breaking her own school record in the 3000m on Saturday afternoon.
Samantha Hennen led the Colonials at the Penn State National Open, finishing sixth in the 3000m with a record time of 9:19.20, beating her previous school record of 9:40.52 at the GVSU Big Meet last February. Teammate
Julia Dill also got a top-10 finish in the event, placing 6
th with a time of 9:27.56, which is a new personal best. The DMR team of
Emma Bradbury,
Ava Deming,
Ailena Reynolds-Diaz, and Erin Laquatra finished in second behind Pitt. Their time of 12:11.41 is now second best in school history.
Lyla Brew finished out the top-10 finishers for the Colonials with a 9
th place finish in the 5000m with a time of 18:02.63, which is now third best in RMU history.
