MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Robert Morris junior Nate Fechter has been named the NEC Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday.
 
The goalkeeper stopped 15 of 21 shots in RMU's 11-6 victory at Cleveland State on Saturday, which included allowing just one goal in the fourth quarter while making four saves. He is second in the NEC with a save percentage of .541 and started league play with an NEC-best .667 save percentage by turning away 24-of-36 shots.
 
RMU (7-3, 2-0 NEC), who has won six consecutive matches, hosts LeMoyne (2-8, 1-1 NEC) on Saturday. Faceoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
