SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Freshman
Kara Fennell took home a first-place finish in the pole vault at the John Papa Invitational hosted by Slippery Rock on Thursday afternoon.
Fennell, a freshman from Butler, Pennsylvania, took home first place out of 14 in the pole vault with a height of 3.70m, just narrowly missing her career best of 3.71m at the Carnegie Invitational back on March 27.
Fennell is currently ranked second all-time in the pole vault at RMU behind Bethany Ledford, who set the school record back in 2014 with a height of 3.87m at the ECAC-IC4A Championships.
