Earning his second Higher Images RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor for the 2013 fall season is junior defensive back Antwan Eddie of the football team. A native of Homestead, Fla., Eddie was tabbed the Northeast Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week after his efforts played a crucial role in a 24-3 win over Bryant (11/2) at Joe Walton Stadium. Eddie finished with five tackles, a pass breakup and a pair of interceptions against the Bulldogs, holding star wide receiver Jordan Harris in check and holding Bryant to its lowest scoring output as a Division I program. Eddie limited Harris to just a pair of receptions for 22 yards, the receiver’s second-lowest yardage total in his last 27 games. On the 2013 season, Eddie has posted 25 tackles and three interceptions while also averaging 17.7 yards in punt returns with 21 returns for 372 yards and a touchdown. Â
