Earning his third Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week nod of the 2015-16 winter season is senior goaltender Terry Shafer. In a split last weekend against Army West Point at the RMU Island Sports Center, Shafer finished with 68 saves and allowed just a pair of goals. In a 3-0 victory in the second game of the series, Shafer turned away 40 shots, the fourth time this season he has recorded at least 40 saves, in notching his fourth shutout of the year. In 22 games in net this season, Shafer has compiled a 13-7-2 record while posting 691 saves, a 2.24 goals against average and a save percentage of .936. He is a native of Penfield, N.Y.
