In earning Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week honors, freshman forward Cassie Oursler of the women’s basketball team claims the final Higher Images RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week accolade of the 2013 calendar year. Oursler recorded her first collegiate double-double against Colgate (12/14/13) at the Charles L. Sewall Center, posting 12 points and a career-high 10 rebounds in 25 minutes of action. Oursler shot 6-for-9 from the floor and also added an assist, block and steal while not committing a turnover on the game. A native of Grand Island, N.Y., Oursler supplies the Colonials with averages of 6.4 points and 5.8 rebounds in eight starts on the 2013-14 campaign.
