Senior forward Brady Ferguson of the hockey team has been named the Giant Eagle RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Jan. 24, 2018. In a 1-0-1 weekend against Bentley at the RMU Island Sports Center on Neville Island, Ferguson tallied five points courtesy of a goal and four assists and in the process tied the career record for assists. Ferguson owns 91 career helpers, which is tied with Nathan Longpre (2007-11). In a 3-2 victory to open the series Jan. 19, Ferguson assisted on all three goals, including the game-winner in overtime. The next night, Ferguson, a native of Carrollton, Texas, posted a goal and an assist in a 3-3 tie. On the 2017-18 season, Ferguson owns 33 points thanks to 12 goals and 21 assists.
