Senior goaltender Molly Singewald of the hockey team has been tabbed the Chick-Fil-A Robinson RMU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 24, 2021. In the first two starts of her career as part of Senior Weekend at Clearview Arena at the RMU Island Sports Center, Singewald helped the Colonials pick up a pair of victories over Sacred Heart. In the two-game series, Singewald, a native of Farmington, Minn., turned away 36 shots in recording consecutive shutouts. In the opener of the series, a 1-0 win, Singewald recorded 14 saves. The next afternoon, the Colonials rolled to an 8-0 triumph as the senior netminder posted 22 saves, including 11 in the second period. For her efforts, Singewald, an engineering major who has recorded a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.66, was named the College Hockey America (CHA) Goaltender of the Week.
