Junior guard Enoch Cheeks of the men’s basketball team has been selected as the Chick-fil-A Robinson RMU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Dec. 14, 2022. In a split last week, Cheeks, a native of Providence, R.I., averaged 17.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 46.7 percent (14-for-30) from the field. In a 71-66 win @ Central Michigan (12/7/22), Cheeks finished with 17 points, four assists and a pair of blocks. Three days later, Cheeks tied for team-high honors against Marshall (12/10/22) at the UPMC Events Center, scoring 17 points while grabbing four rebounds and posting a trio of steals. Cheeks, who has scored in double figures in each of his nine games for the Colonials during the 2022-23 campaign, paces RMU overall this season with an average of 15.9 points per contest.
