Four Colonials Earn All-Northeast Conference Honors

Moon Township, Pa. - Junior Ryan Zabinski (New Cumberland, Pa. / Cedar Cliff), a midfielder on the Robert Morris University men's soccer team, was named to the 2006 All-Northeast Conference First Team. Seniors Jason Pelletier (Middletown, Pa. / Middletown) and Allan Brown (Newmarket, Ontario / Sacred Heart) and junior Jacek Przednowek (Brantford, Ontario / St. John's College) earned spots on the All-NEC Second Team.

Zabinski is a two-time All-NEC first team selection and is third in the NEC with eight assists ? a mark that stands tied for seventh all-time at RMU. The junior also has four goals and stands seventh in the conference with 16 points. In three seasons, he has 15 assists ranking him ninth all-time at the school. The left-footed midfielder is the reigning NEC Player of the Week after tallying a goal in two assists last weekend, locking up a berth for the Colonials in the conference tournament.

Pelletier is a two-time All-NEC selection in the midfield for Robert Morris. The team's field general in the central midfield, he has a goal and three assists this season after posting two assists in 2005.

Brown, a NSCAA/adidas All-Region selection in 2005, is a first-time All-NEC honoree. A team captain as a senior Brown's only goal of the season locked up a NEC Tournament berth for the Colonials last weekend. In the central defense, he has guided a defense that has allowed just one goal or less in 13 of the team's 19 games this season and has the school's fifth-lowest goals against average at 1.30.

Przednowek has proven to be a dazzling scorer in his two seasons in a Colonial uniform. A two-time All-NEC selection, he stands second in the conference in goals (9) and points (22). He ranks ninth all-time with 53 points at RMU.
