Field Hockey Tabs first Win of Season with 1-0 victory over Seton Hill

Box Score The Robert Morris University field hockey team recorded its first win of the season Saturday afternoon by defeating Seton Hill 1-0.

The games lone goal came at the 10:52 mark of the first half when freshman Sarah Schrott (Quarryville, Pa. / Lancaster Christian) scored from a pass from Jessica Hammaker (Enola, Pa. / East Pennsboro). Hammaker recieved a pass from Stacie Woodle (Boalsburg, Pa. / State College) via a penalty corner.

Maddy Carroll (Birdsboro, Pa. / Twin Valley) tallied a game high six shots for the Colonials. Junior goalkeeper Kate Dunlap(Centerport, Pa. / Schuylkill Valley) came off the bench to make three saves for RMU, playing in the final 59:08 of the game.

RMU out shot Seton Hill 11-6 and held a 16-3 edge in penalty corners.

Robert Morris, under the guidance of third-year head coach Lisa Bell, returns to action when they travel to LaSalle on Saturday, September 9 for a 1:00 p.m. start.
