RMU Downs the Mount, 6-1, for Third Straight Win

Moon Township, Pa. - The Robert Morris University men's tennis team extended its winning streak in dual matches to three Thursday afternoon with a 6-1 victory over Mount St. Mary's. The win improves the Colonials to 4-13 overall on the 2006-07 campaign, including a perfect 4-0 in Northeast Conference play.

Freshman Sean Curley (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Woodland Hills) notched his fifth singles victory at the No. 1 flight thanks to a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Favio Osorio, while junior Nick Paganetti (The Woodlands, Texas / McCullough) garnered a 7-6 (9-7), 4-6, 10-8 win over Jeff Lamberton at the No. 2 singles flight. Curley and Paganetti also teamed up at the No. 1 doubles flight for a 9-7 victory over Osorio and Thad Mostowtt.

At the No. 3 singles flight, the Colonials were led by freshman David Pinto (Burlington, Ontario / Nelson), who downed Mostowtt, 6-7 (4-7), 6-4 and 10-8, while senior T.J. Delorie (McMurray, Pa. / Peters Township) downed Sam Walton, 6-4 and 6-1, at the No. 5 singles flight.

With its 2006-07 regular season now complete, Robert Morris next travels to the 2007 NEC Championships, which will be held April 21-22 in West Windsor, N.J.
