Pelletier Signs With The Harrisburg City Islanders

Harrisburg, Pa. ? Jason Pelletier (2005-06) became the 21st Robert Morris University men's soccer player to sign a professional contract when he joined with the Harrisburg City Islanders of the United Soccer League's Second Division. Pelletier is the fourth Colonials player to sign a USL contract this spring, joining with current seniors Ryan Zabinski (New Cumberland, Pa. / Cedar Cliff) and Jacek Przednowek (Brantford, Ontario / St. John's College) and former Colonial Allan Brown (2003-06) who all signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

 

Pelletier was a two-time All-NEC selection in the midfield for Robert Morris. The team's field general in the central midfield, he had a goal and three assists in 2006 after posting two assists in 2005. Pelletier was a second-team all-conference pick in both of those seasons while setting up the Colonials offense from his central midfield position. RMU was 20-15-6 in his two seasons, including the 2005 Northeast Conference Championship and a trip to the NCAA Tournament.

 

The Robert Morris men's soccer team has won seven NEC championships and earned berths in the NCAA Tournament in 1993, 1994 and 2005. The Colonials went 7-7-4 in 2007.
