Moon Township, Pa. ? Jan. 30, 2009 ? Robert Morris University men's lacrosse head coach Kenneth “Bear” Davis added junior midfielder Jordon Sealock (Airdrie, Alberta / George MacDougal) as a captain for the 2009 season. Sealock will join the senior trio of Dan Mulford (Luterville, Md. / Calvert Hall), Dan Kerch (Chesterfield, Mo. / DeSmet) and Billy Conques (Fairfax, Va. / Paul VI), who were named captains earlier in the year.
Sealock finished the 2008 season with 15 ground balls and three caused turnovers, while also adding a goal. Throughout his career, he has accumulated 23 ground balls, four caused turnovers and two goals. Although just a junior, he sets a notable example of leadership for his team.
“Jordan brings a tremendous work ethic and maturity level to the program,” said Davis. “As our only junior captain, he sets a very impressive standard in all aspects of his life. His approach to everything he does is an example that his teammates feel obligated to follow.”
Under the leadership of Davis, the Colonials are getting ready to start up the 2009 season on Feb. 7 when the team heads to Chapel Hill to face North Carolina for their season opener, with the game set to start at 12:00 p.m.
