MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - Robert Morris Men's Lacrosse head coach
Craig McDonald has announced that
Jeff Handman will join the staff as an assistant coach.
Handman arrives in Moon Township from St. Bonaventure, where he served for two seasons, the last as associate head coach. During his time with the Bonnies, he coached seven student-athletes who earned spots on the Atlantic 10 All-Academic and All-Freshman teams, with multiple others receiving recognition through the Atlantic 10 weekly awards.
Before St. Bonaventure, Handman was an assistant coach at Queens University of Charlotte for the 2023 season, where he helped the program transition to the Division I level. In addition to recruiting, travel, scheduling, and fundraising, Handman also served as the program's recruiting coordinator.
Previously, Handman worked at Newberry College from 2019-22. Serving as defensive coordinator, goalie coach, and recruiting coordinator, he recruited four USILA All-Americans, six USILA South All-Region players, and 17 South Atlantic All-Conference selections. Their program had back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2021 and 2022 and ranked No. 15 in the USILA rankings for 2022, leading to two players selected in the NLL Draft.
Handman was also on staff at Barton College, where he helped lead the team to the conference playoffs in its first year. There, he held an assistant coaching role and was responsible for recruiting, player development, scouting, and film.
On top of his experience in Division I and II athletics, Handman coached at the club level, including time spent with Team 91 Carolina.
Handman played collegiately at Lincoln Memorial. He received a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference Honor Roll and maintained Dean's List student status.
