Tao-Brambleby Earns CAA Player of the Week Honors

Moon Township, Pa. ? Feb.  16, 2009 - Robert Morris University sophomore Corbyn Tao-Brambleby (Coquitlam, B.C. / Western Reserve Academy) took home the Colonial Athletic Association's first player of the week honor after leading the Colonials to one of their biggest wins in program history with a 12-11 overtime victory over Penn State.

 

The attacker finished the game with three goals and three assists, including the game winner in the second overtime. He started off his impressive game with one assist in the first quarter and back-to-back assists in the second quarter. With two minutes left in the third quarter he recorded his first goal of the game and in the fourth quarter with the Colonials down by two he scored a goal at 10:49 to bring RMU within one. After one of his teammates knotted the game at the end of regulation, he made a clutch play in the second overtime to find the net and win the game, 12-11. He currently leads the Colonials with four goals and three assists for seven points.

 

RMU returns to action on Feb. 21 to take on Bellarmine at home for a 1:00 p.m. start time.
