Moon Township, Pa. ? April 6, 2009 ? Robert Morris University freshman men's lacrosse player Kyle Buchanan (Nepean, Ontario / John McCrae) was named CAA Rookie of the Week after helping the Colonials to their first ever league win with an 11-10 victory over Drexel this past week.

The rookie tallied a game-high and career-high three assists in the win. His final helper of the game came on Billy Conques game-winning goal with 2:07 left in regulation.  His first assist of the game also came on a Conques goal at 1:39 in the second quarter and he added his second helper at 10:33 in the third quarter. He now has 10 assists on the season, which leads all RMU rookies.

RMU heads to Buffalo, N.Y. on Tuesday, April 7 to take on Canisius at 3:00 p.m. The squad returns home to host the University of Delaware on Saturday, April 11 at 3:00 p.m.
