St. Louis Slips Past Robert Morris, 3-0

The Colonials will continue on the road at Bellarmine on Tuesday

Springfield, Missouri - The Robert Morris University field hockey team was back in action on Sunday afternoon at Missouri State University as the Colonials took on St. Louis University in a neutral site match up.  The Billikens took an early 1-0 lead, and then added two more scores in the second half to defeat the Colonials, 3-0.

Robert Morris outshot St. Louis 3-5 in the first half, however the Billikens gained momentum in the second period and concluded the contest with the shots tied at nine all. Freshman Alicia Straining (Harrisburg, Pa. / Central Dauphin) led the Colonials with four shots, three of which were on goal.

Junior Stephanie Seeley (Louisville, Ky. / Ballard) made the start in goal and played all 70 minutes as she gave up three goals and made four stops.

The Colonials (0-2-0 ; 0-0-0 NEC) will continue their road trip on Tuesday at Bellarmine when they play the Knights in Owsley Brown Frazier Stadium at 3:55 p.m.
