ABOUT THE CAMP...

CAMP PHILOSOPHY

The RMU High School Team Camp is a unique educational experience that stretches individual players to reach their technical and tactical potential. Our training methods have help produce over 20 professional soccer players since 1993. The coaches have  experience at the youth, collegiate, and professional levels that provides each coach the knowledge and skills to best prepare each high school team for their upcoming season.

CAMP DIRECTOR BILL DENNISTON ...

The RMU High School Team Camp is a unique educational experience that stretches individual players to reach their technical and tactical potential. Our training methods have help produce over 20 professional soccer players since 1993. The coaches have experience at the youth, collegiate, and professional levels that provides each coach the knowledge and skills to best prepare each high school team for their upcoming season. Bill Denniston is in his fourteenth year as head men's soccer coach at Robert Morris University. RMU is a Division I
program that competes in the Northeast Conference (NEC). The team was the 2005 NEC champions, competed in the 2005 NCAA tournament, and was regionally ranked every week for three years. There have been 21 graduates go on to play professional soccer in Scotland, Poland, Sweden, China, Lebanon, Canada and the United States. Coach Denniston was named the 2001 NEC "Coach of the Year". He is a 1983 graduate of Bethany College, W.V. where he was a three time All-American as a player. He captained the 1982 Bethany squad that was the finalist in the NCAA championship game. He holds a United States Soccer Association (USSF) "A" license and has over 25 years of camp and youth coaching experience.

DAILY SCHEDULE ...

Camp will run from Sunday, July 14 until Thursday, July 18. It is scheduled as an outdoor camp so if weather conditions are so bad that play cannot continue camp will be temporarily moved indoors.

3:00 p.m. - Check In (Gazebo, Campus Center)
5:00 p.m. - Dinner
6:30 p.m. - Team practice

Mon., July 15-Wed., July 17
8:30 a.m. - Breakfast
9:30 - 11:30 a.m. - Team practice
Noon - Lunch
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Team Game
5:00 p.m. - Dinner
7:00 p.m. - Skill session

Thurs., July 18
1:00 - 3:00 p.m. - Final team game
3:00 p.m. - Check out

EQUIPMENT ...

(Each player will need the following)

  • A soccer ball
  • Soccer shoes
  • Shin guards
  • A water bottle
  • Proper clothing for weather conditions
  • Overnight campers should bring linen and bedding for a single bed.
  • Any other personal overnight items

COST ...

$175 - Day camp

  • no lunch provided, but you can bring lunch and stay on campus to eat (9:00am- 3:00pm)

$325- Residential camp

  • (check in Sunday night at 7:00pm) 3 meals/day provided.

The camp fee includes all direct charges of the five day camp including training top and awards. Checks should be made out to Robert Morris University.
