Robert Morris Takes Fifth At Butler Spring Invitational

Avon, Ind. / Prestwick Country Club - The Robert Morris University women's golf team took fifth place at the nine-team Butler Spring Invitational played at Prestwick Country Club in Avon, Indiana. Junior Elizabeth Wenger (Toledo, Ohio / Whitmer) tied for 10th at the event, her second consecutive top-10 showing and fifth of her career.

Butler University won their event, led by medalist Michele Nash's five-over par total, won the event by six strokes with a 648 total. IUPUI took second (654) with Loyola (Ill.) (657) in third. Dayton was fourth (666) followed by Robert Morris (674), Cleveland State (678), Valparaiso (679) and Evansville and IPFW (700).

Wenger shot rounds of 83 in both rounds at the par-72, 5,980-yard layout at Prestwick to finish with a 166 total and a three-way tie for 10th.

Freshman Alee Everman (Dayton, Ohio / Centerville) and sophomore Jenna Rinker (Slippery Rock, Pa. / Slippery Rock) tied for 13th with 167 totals. Everman shot 84-83 and Rinker carded rounds of 85 and 82. Freshman Annie Bozich (Aliquippa, Pa. / Center) tied for 32nd after shooting two rounds of 87. Sophomore Tess Wolfe (Beaver Falls, Pa. / Blackhawk) rounded out the Colonials lineup with a 177 total that tied her for 39th.
