Littlestown, Pa. / Quail Valley G.C. - The
Robert Morris University women's golf team built a two-stroke lead after 36
holes of play at the 2012 Mount St. Mary's Spring Invitational. The Colonials
posted a 322 in the second round of the day to move past Wagner into the lead
of the 54-hole event played at the 6,202-yard par-72 Quail Valley Golf Club in
Littlestown, Pa.
Sophomore Alee Everman (Dayton, Ohio / Centerville) is
third overall. She came home in 79 strokes in the first round before cutting
one stroke from that for a second-round 78.
Junior Jenna Rinker (Slippery Rock, Pa. / Slippery Rock
(Clarion)) is tied for fifth, carding a second round 78, four strokes lower
than the 82 she posted in the morning round. Junior Tess Wolfe (Beaver Falls,
Pa. / Blackhawk) posted her 78 in the first round of play before scoring an 83
in round two.
Senior Elizabeth Wenger (Toledo, Ohio / Whitmer) has totaled
a 168 through 36 holes to grab 13th place. Sophomore Annie Bozich (Aliquippa,
Pa. / Center) is tied for 30th shooting rounds of 88 and 93.
Competing as individuals, freshman Sarah Weber (Hudson,
Ohio / Hudson) is tied for 19th (90-82=172) and classmate Tori Zachman
(Hampstead, Md. / North Carroll) is tied at 30th (91-90=181).
