Neco Brett (Kingston, Jamaica / Excelsior) recorded the ninth hat trick in team history as the
Robert Morris University men's soccer team bulled its way past Buffalo, 3-1. The Colonials have scored 10 goals in their last three games with Brett accounting for half of those scores.
Robert Morris is now 4-0 at home this season while improving to 4-3-2 overall. The Bulls slip to 1-5-3 overall.

Miro Cabrilo (Hamilton, Ontario / Glendale Secondary) and sophomore
Bruce Cullen (Pickering, Ontario / Pine Ridge) each had two assists. Freshman goalkeeper
Joseph Kuta (Mississauga, Ontario / St. Joan of Arc) earned his first assist while tying his season high with six saves.
Robert Morris capitalized on early offensive pressure in the sixth minute. Cullen sent a left-footed cross from the left wing to the center of the box. Brett settled the ball with one touch, then found the bottom left corner of the net on his second touch for his fifth marker of the season.
The score remained tied though halftime before Cullen and Brett hooked up once again in the 61
st minute as Cullen bit his defender along the endline before finding his Jamaican teammate in the middle of the box. This time, Brett shot to the right giving RMU a 2-0 lead and Cabrilo collected his first helper of the game after setting things up out of the central midfield.
Kuta earned his first assist as he and Cabrilo set up Brett's third score. Cabrilo headed a long ball from Kuta forward to Brett, who ran onto it before placing a right-footed shot inside the left post.
Buffalo put an end to the shutout in the 87
th minute as a pass back from the endline by Braden Culver found Nicolay Netskar at top right corner of the box. An in-swinging right-footed shot deflected off the near post and in.
The Bulls used three keepers in net. Waleed Cassis was saddled with the loss while Andrew Siviy did the Yeomen's work with six saves in 34 minutes of play in the second half. RMU outshot UB, 21-13.
The Colonials travel to George Washington next Saturday, Oct. 5, for a 1:00 p.m. game.
