Robert Morris University men's soccer team was named the U-ADE Northeast Conference Player of the Week in his first weekend of action as a Colonial. Alfery was brilliant in his Robert Morris debut, turning aside nine shots in the season opener against Hartwick and four more in a shutout of Rider.
Against Hartwick, the transfer from Grove City made six saves in regulation while allowing just one goal. But he saved his best for overtime, making three more saves, including a stop on a penalty kick in the second overtime. He played 75 minutes against Rider, keeping a clean sheet with four saves before exiting late in the second half.

RMU Bucks The Broncs In two games, Alfery has made 14 saves while allowing just one goal. He has a 0.49 goals against average and a .929 save percentage.
Robert Morris returns to the pitch Friday, Sept. 5, when it travels to Wright State for a 7:00 p.m. game.
