Sean Meagher has made the 25-man roster of Major League Lacrosse's (MLL) Charlotte Hounds, the organization announced on Monday.
Meagher (2011-14) was drafted with the 41st overall pick in the 2015 MLL Supplemental Draft this past December and looks to become the second player in program history to play in the league, joining 2012 All-American midfielder Kiel Matisz. The Colonials currently have eight alumni playing professionally in the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

The Chesterfield, Mo. native earned Northeast Conference (NEC) Defensive Player of the Year accolades as a junior in 2013 after causing a then-school record 38 turnovers. He eclipsed that mark in his senior campaign, leading the nation with 43 caused turnovers, and shattered the career standard with 98. Last year, Meagher was named a semifinalist for the Senior CLASS Award and garnered United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-American honors.
In addition to the aforementioned achievements, Meagher was the recipient of the NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year award in 2013 and earned All-NEC Second Team honors in his junior and senior seasons.
Charlotte opens up its schedule this Sunday when it hosts the Rochester Rattlers. The Hounds, who advanced to the MLL Championship Game in 2013, will play a 14-game schedule stretching from April to late July.
Robert Morris is back in action tomorrow afternoon when it hosts Mount St. Mary's. Opening draw between the Colonials and Mountaineers is set for 4:00 p.m. from Joe Walton Stadium.
