CapsuleRobert Morris will look to bounce back from a season-opening loss when it takes on the Pitt Panthers in a 1:00 p.m. match Sunday, Aug. 23, at the Steel City Classic at Duquesne University's Rooney Field. The Colonials opened the year with a 2-0 setback to the host Dukes Friday night. Contrary to the score, RMU had a pair of golden scoring opportunities but were unable to capitalize. The Panthers dominated play against Saint Francis University Friday, accumulating a 47-1 shot advantage, but managed only a 1-1 draw with the Red Flash.

The Series vs. PittThis is the fourth straight season that RMU will meet Pitt after the local series went on a nearly decade long hiatus from 2003 through 2012. The Colonials trail the all-time series 2-7-1 and are 0-2-1 against the Panthers in the three meetings since the rivalry was rekindled. RMU last defeated its Oakland opponent, 2-1, in 2002 at North Athletic Complex.
