Alex Heger of the
Robert Morris University men's lacrosse team was named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week, announced the league Monday afternoon.
Heger, a first-year goaltender from Carmel, Ind., made a career-high 15 saves in his first career start in the Colonials' 11-10 overtime victory at Mercer on Tuesday.
The freshman entered Saturday's contest at Marquette in the second half and registered six saves and two ground balls in thirty minutes of action.
The Colonials open NEC action at Joe Walton Stadium this Saturday, March 19 at 1 p.m. versus Sacred Heart.
