Louisville, Ky. – For the third consecutive season, Robert Morris University men's soccer alumnus Devon "Speedy" Williams will be playing for the United Soccer League (USL) title as he scored a pair of goals in Louisville City FC's 5-1 dispatching of New York Red Bulls II on Friday night.

Entering the match in the 64th minute to help hold down a 2-1 advantage, Williams returned to his attacking roots to seal the victory. He scored his second goal of the season in the 73rd minute, corralling a pass from Niall McCabe inside the box before finishing at the far post. Two minutes later Williams showed some flair, taking a touch from outside the 18 and ripping a rocket past the Red Bulls goalkeeper.

It's been another strong season for the former Colonial as he's been a key component to the USL's Eastern Conference champions. Williams has completed 85.4 percent of his passes and is dishing it off 61.6 times per 90 minutes. He has a 65.9 percent success rate on long passes, and owns a pair of assists to go along with his three goals in 2018.

Williams has been a part of the last two USL Cup-winning sides, previously raising the trophy with Red Bulls in 2016 and Louisville City last year. He provided the assist on Cameron Lancaster's 88th-minute winner against Swope Park Rangers last November, setting up his striker with a curling cross from the right flank.

The 2015 alumnus has also earned a pair of call-ups to the Jamaican National Team this year, appearing in a friendly against South Korea on January 30 and a CONCACAF Nations League qualifier against Bonaire on October 14.

Louisville City FC will play the winner between Orange County SC and Phoenix Rising FC on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 8:00 p.m. (ET). The match can be seen live on ESPN2.
