PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Robert Morris University men's soccer team was named a recipient of the United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award for their performance in the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year.
It marks the second time RMU has garnered the honor, also earning the title following the 2019 campaign. The 2020-21 Colonials roster posted a composite grade point average of 3.43.
"Our number one goal is to prepare our guys for whatever life brings down the road. This is done through the challenges that balancing academics and soccer brings. To see our guys handle all the challenges of the past year and still achieve such success is beyond rewarding. We are very proud of them for this tremendous achievement." - Head Coach Jason O'Keefe
The College Team Academic Award is given to active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite grade point average of 3.0 or better for all players on the roster.
The Colonials were one of a total of 602 men's and women's programs to earn the award for the 2020-21 academic year.
