LAST TIME OUT
Playing only its third road contest of the season, the Colonials secured a point after playing to a 1-1 draw at Northern Kentucky last Saturday.
On Saturday, Robert Morris was outshot by only their third opponent this season as the Norse finished with a 20-11 shot advantage. Northern Kentucky broke the scoring drought in the 14th minute and held a 1-0 lead at the half.
In the second half, the Norse came out firing at redshirt senior keeper
Isabella Bohlen as she collected three saves on seven shots faced in a seven-minute span. After a free kick by Robert Morris that sailed to the Northern Kentucky box, a misplay by a Norse defender saw the ball find the back of the net for a team goal at the 71:00-mark. 1-1.
STATS TO KNOW
Robert Morris continues to test opposing goalkeepers as they currently lead the Horizon League with 108 shots on goal, while averaging 9.00 a game. The Colonials are second in the conference with 203 total shots and are averaging just under 17 shots a game. RMU has totaled 23 goals through 12 contests, while also recording six game-winners.
Junior forward
Haleigh Finale continues to sit atop the conference with 37 total shots, while averaging over three shots a game. Finale has totaled three shots or more in eight contests this season. Freshman
Renae Mohrbacher is tied for second in the league with four assists, while sitting tied for fourth with teammate
Paloma Swankler with 15 shots on goal.
Bohlen has carded 40 saves through 12 games this season after facing 125 shots. She's recorded a .727 save percentage while recording three shutouts this fall. Bohlen has tallied four or more saves in five contests.
SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS
Picked to finish fifth in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), La Roche comes in with a 2-4-2 overall record. The Redhawks are coming off a 4-0 victory over Pitt-Bradford last Saturday, that saw three goals be scored in the first half.
Tuesday afternoon will be the first ever meeting between the Colonials and Redhawks. La Roche is led by junior forward Alexandra Mecchia who has four goals on the year for eight total points. Classmate Alexis Nudds sits second on the team with seven points (3G, 1A), while Victoria Biagetti has found the back of the net twice and carded two assists.
The Redhawks have played a trio of goalkeepers, led by freshman Julianna Hornikel. She has tallied 91 saves in eight starts this season, while recording a .850 save percentage. Hornikel has registered a shutout this season and leads the team with over 675 minutes played.
SCOUTING THE GOLDEN GRIZZLIES
Picked to be the favorite in the preseason poll, Oakland comes into Sunday's match with a 3-2-7 overall record behind a 0-1-3 mark in league play. The Golden Grizzlies are coming off a 0-0 draw at IUPUI this past Saturday.
This will be the third meeting between these two programs as Oakland has won the previous two meetings over the Colonials. The Golden Grizzlies captured a 3-0 shutout over Robert Morris last October.
Fifth year Alexa Sabbagh paces the Golden Grizzlies with three goals while sitting tied for fifth in the conference with 31 shots. She leads the team with seven points and has tallied an assist. Graduate student Sami Lopez and senior Macey Wierenga sit second on the team with four points as both have recorded a goal and two assists this season.
Fifth year goalkeeper Noëmi Stadelmann is one of the top keepers in the Horizon League as she sits first in multiple categories. She paces the conference after only allowing five goals this season, while registering a .479 goal against average through 11 games. Stadelmann has carded five shutouts while collecting 30 saves this fall.
