Moon Township, Pa. – The Robert Morris University women's soccer team hits the road for the first time this season when it travels to Howard on Thursday night before returning to the North Athletic Complex to host Hampton on Sunday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Colonials closed out a four-game homestand as they found themselves in a pair of draws last week. Robert Morris played to a 1-1 tie against Mount St. Mary's on Thursday before closing the week with a 1-1 draw against UMass.
Sophomore
Elisa Corvalan broke the scoring drought in the second half on Thursday as she took a pass from senior
Sheridan Reid and put a header into the net.
On Sunday, junior
Haleigh Finale recorded her team leading, second goal of the season in the 36', after taking a pass from freshman
Paloma Swankler. Finales shot bounced off a UMass defender and found the back of the net.
CAREER FIRSTS
Two Colonials got themselves in that stat sheet for the first time in their collegiate careers as Robert Morris closed out a four-game homestand. Corvalnds goal in the 49' against Mount St. Mary's was her first NCAA goal that gave the Colonials a 1-0 lead. She currently sits third on the team with seven shots and tied for first with five shots on goal.
In the 36' minute against the Minutewomen, Swankler delivered a pass to the top right side of the box to Finale, who put her shot off a UMass defender and beat the goalkeeper to the right, to give Swankler her first career assist. She has one point on the season and has appeared in all four contests this year.
SCOUTING THE BISON
The Bison come into Thursdays match looking for there first victory of the season as they have lost three of their last four matches. This will be the first meeting between the two teams since the 2019 campaign.
The Colonials stand at 6-6-1 all-time against the Bison, dating back to 2006. The two programs have split the last four meetings, with Hampton winning the last two.
Howard is led by sophomore Melea Earley as she paces the team with five total points. Earley has recorded two goals and an assist, while classmates Kendall France and Zoe Moore have both found the back of the net this season. Junior Kennedy Jones has started all four matches in goal for the Bison and has collected 21 saves on 58 shots faced.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES
It'll be the second meeting between the Colonials and Pirates come Sunday as Robert Morris secured a 4-2 victory in the first-ever meeting last September.
Hampton dropped their first two contest of the year before capturing their first win of the season with a 10-0 shutout at Regent University on Monday night. The Pirates are led by a trio of players who have all recorded three goals this season.
Junior Nyle Nwainokpor, sophomore Maya Martir, and freshman Tayrn Goodwin have all tallied three goals for the Pirates, while senior Savyon Hammond paces the team with three assists.

"Looking forward to getting back on the field this week. We have our first road trip which will be a good test for us," head coach
Chris Shaw said. "Howard is always organized and hardworking and will be a very competitive match. Then we get to return to RMU for another home match against Hampton, who seems to be much improved this year."
