MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – RMU head football coach
Bernard Clark, Jr. has announced the following changes to the Colonials' 2024 schedule.
RMU will now play the newest Northeast Conference member Mercyhurst on Sept. 14 with a noon kickoff.
The Colonials' game against Frostburg State on Sept. 28 has been canceled and will now serve as an open date.
Homecoming will now be on Oct. 12 against Delaware State.
On November 28, 2023 RMU announced it has accepted an invitation from the NEC Council of Presidents to rejoin the conference as a football associate member. The Colonials will be immediately eligible to secure the league's automatic bid to the NCAA FCS Playoffs.
RMU helped launch NEC football in 1996 and claimed six conference championships. During its initial run in the NEC, RMU had three postseason berths winning the ECAC Football Classic in 1996 and 1997 as well as representing the NEC in the FCS Playoffs in 2010.
The 2024 season will mark RMU's 25
th in the NEC.
