MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. - The RMU women's soccer team is set to continue its nonconference schedule with a match against West Virginia University (WVU) on Sunday, September 1 at 5:00 PM. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

RMU LATELY
RMU (1-2-1) is coming off a narrow 1-0 loss at home to Saint Francis. Through their first four games of the season,
Emerson Johngarlo and
Paloma Swankler have been the primary goal-scorers for the Colonials, each netting two goals. Freshman
Madison Hurst leads the team in assists, with two to her name so far.

ALL-TIME VS. WVU
This matchup marks the first meeting between RMU and WVU since 1997. The teams have faced each other twice before, both times in the 1990s, with WVU emerging victorious in both encounters.

SCOUTING WVU
WVU (2-2) had a strong start to the season, recording shutout victories against Delaware (2-0) and Radford (5-0). However, the Mountaineers faced tougher competition in their subsequent matches, falling 3-0 to Clemson and 3-1 to Penn State. Last season, WVU finished with a 7-8-4 overall record and posted a 5-3-2 mark in Big 12 play. Their season ended with a 3-1 loss to Texas in the opening round of the conference playoffs.
