MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The Northeast Conference, who is sponsoring men's lacrosse for the first time since 2022, has released it 2025 Preseason Coaches Poll. RMU was selected to finish first out of the league's eight teams.
 
The Colonials received three first place votes, followed by Cleveland State and LIU, who finished second and third, respectively, with two first place votes. VMI was selected fourth with one first place tally. Le Moyne, Detroit Mercy, Mercyhurst and Wagner rounded out the eight-team field.
 
RMU opens its season on Saturday, February 8 at No. 20/18 Richmond. The Colonials' home opener will be Tuesday, February 18 against St. Bonaventure at Joe Walton Stadium.
