YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The RMU women's track & field team opened up the 2025-26 season at the YSU Icebreaker on Friday afternoon in Ohio.
At the meet, the Colonials had eight top-10 finishes, along with
Hayzes Robinson breaking the school record in the 60m prelims with a time of 7.56. Robinson beat the previous record of 7.66 held by
Gracie Parker. Robinson qualified for the finals with her record-breaking time and finished fourth in the event (7.58).
Other top-10 finishers on the evening included
Penelope Mobley (9.07) and
Ny'Asia Benton (9.11), taking 6
th and 7
th place in the 60m hurdles,
Julianna Page-Daughtry with a 10
th-place finish in the 200m with a time of 25.44,
Clare Ruffing jumping 5.72m in the long jump to claim second place,
Kara Fennell (3.70m) finishing second in the pole vault unseeded, Mya Chamberlain finishing third in the triple jump with a 11.62m jump, and
Sara Jury finished 7
th in the 3000m with a time of 10:37.75
In the 4x400m relay, the team of
Erin Zephirin,
Lindsey Martineau,
Jocie Slesinski, and
Julianna Page-Daughtry finished in fourth place behind a pair of teams from Pittsburgh and Seton Hill. The Colonials ran a time of 3:59.29 in the events.

Samantha Hennen will compete in the BU Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston, with the pair running in the 5000m.
