INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Senior pitcher
Madison DeVault has been named Horizon League Pitcher of the Week for the second consecutive week following a dominant series against IU Indy. This marks her second weekly honor of the season.
In two appearances against the Jaguars, DeVault pitched 9.2 innings, striking out nine batters while allowing just two earned runs. She recorded a 1.44 ERA and secured her team-leading fifth win of the season.
DeVault continues to excel among Horizon League pitchers, leading the conference in ERA (2.91) and opposing batting average (.222) while ranking fourth in strikeouts (56).
Over her career, DeVault has posted a 3.40 ERA, 22 wins, nine saves, and 240 strikeouts.
Her latest recognition is RMU's fifth weekly conference award of the season. Teammates
Madelyn Coleman (Pitcher of the Week),
Courtney Poulich (Player of the Week), and
Anna Resnik (Player of the Week) have also earned conference honors.
The Colonials are set for a non-conference game today at Pitt, with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 PM. RMU will return to Horizon League action this weekend, hosting Northern Kentucky for a three-game series on April 4-5.
