RMU Softball Strengthens Roster with Two Key Transfers for 2026 Season

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – The RMU softball team announced today the addition of two impactful transfers, Aglaia Rudd and Eloise Facher, to their roster for the upcoming 2026 season.

These acquisitions, unveiled by Head Coach Jexx Varner, are set to bolster the Colonials as they push for another Horizon League title.

Aglaia Rudd | B/T: R/R | Junior | Catcher | Transfer from Purdue Fort Wayne
A native of Greenfield, Ind., Aglaia Rudd arrives at RMU with an impressive collegiate resume. She was notably named the 2024 Horizon League Freshman of the Year, also earning recognition as an All-League First Team player, All-Freshman Team honoree, and a member of the 2025 Horizon League All-Academic Team. In her two seasons with the Mastodons, Rudd played in 66 games, making 63 starts from behind the plate. She has totaled 67 hits, 43 RBI, 26 runs, 20 doubles, and seven home runs, boasting a .359 on-base percentage and a .319 batting average. Defensively, she owns a solid .968 fielding percentage along with 20 assists.

"Aglaia is a big-time addition to our program and our battery," Coach Varner stated. "She is a proven middle-of-the-order hitter who is a very hard out. Aglaia is also a very good catcher that is tough to run on. But maybe most importantly, she is a quality voice and leader that will help lead a defense as well as help the development of our younger catchers and players. We are grateful she has found a home here at Bobby Mo to finish her college career."

Eloise Facher | B/T: R/R | Junior | Outfielder | Transfer from Kent State
A familiar face returning home, Eloise Facher is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and attended Shaler Area High School. During her two seasons with the Kent State Golden Flashes, she appeared in 41 total games with 16 starts. Playing in the outfield, Facher has recorded 15 hits, 10 runs, and five RBI, while owning an impressive .420 on-base percentage and a .341 batting average. Defensively, she showcased a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in the outfield in 2025.

"Eloise adds to our growing list of Western PA talent that have come home to compete for and win championships," Coach Varner commented. "She is very athletic with good speed and pop. Ellie will add depth to our outfield and has shown she can make a big impact to a D1 lineup. We are so excited that she has come home and eager to witness what she will bring to our program."
