INDIANAPOLIS – Senior
Mariya Chamberlain was named the Under Armour #HLTF Female Field Athlete of the Week after her impressive performance at the Doug Raymond Invitational last weekend, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Chamberlain, a senior from Seneca, South Carolina, placed 7
th in the triple jump with a jump of 11.94m, which is the third longest in school history as well as the best mark in the Horizon League this season so far. Chamberlain also competed in the long jump and finished in 13
th place with a distance of 5.26m behind teammate
Dea Monz, who placed 12
th with a distance of 5.28m.
This season, Chamberlain is the third Colonial to earn Under Armour #HLTF honors, as teammates
Samantha Hennen (1.20) and
Hayzes Robinson (12.9) earned honors earlier this season. Chamberlain is the first field athlete for the Colonials to earn honors this season.
