CLEVELAND – The RMU women's lacrosse team was selected to finish fourth in the 2026 MAC Women's Lacrosse Preseason Coaches Poll, the league announced on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Colonials were picked fourth with 34 points and one tournament champion vote behind Eastern Michigan and Akron, who tied for second with 37 points, with Eastern Michigan also receiving one tournament champion vote. UMass was selected as the preseason favorite in the conference with 48 points and six tournament champion votes.
 
Last season, RMU made it to the conference finals as the #1 seed before falling to #3 Akron 11-10 in an overtime thriller. The Colonials finished last season with a record of 8-11 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
 
The Colonials will open the 2026 season on the road at George Mason on Friday, Feb. 6, at 1:00 p.m. before coming home for their home opener on Friday, Feb. 13, with first draw scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Joe Walton Stadium.
