Moon Township, Pa. - Head coach Chandler McCabe has announced her 2026-27 women's basketball transfer class for the upcoming season.
McCabe and her staff hit the portal, picking up six transfers along with two freshmen to join the six returning players from RMU's squad last season, bringing her roster for the 2026-27 season to a total of 14 players.
BALLING WITH BLACKFORD
Taking the short trip down I-376 to Moon Township is 5-7 junior guard Mackenzie Blackford, who has spent the last two seasons playing for Duquesne in the A-10 conference.
Blackford, a native of Solon, Ohio, was a key offensive player for the Dukes over the last two seasons, tying for seventh all-time in program history for three-pointers made in a season with 75 in 2025-26. Blackford appeared in all 31 games for the Dukes, making 27 starts last season. She finished second on the team in scoring (10.6 ppg) and tied for the team lead in three-point field goal percentage (34.6). A specialist from beyond the arc, Blackford ranked fourth in the A-10 in triples per game (2.42) and total triples (75).
As a freshman at Duquesne, Blackford appeared in 33 games, finishing fourth on the team in scoring with 8.2 points per game while shooting 42.5 percent from the field. During her freshman campaign, the Ohio native was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week twice and was second on the team in three-point baskets with 70. Blackford posted 14 double-figure games.
CHAMPIONSHIP SISTERS
Coming to RMU for the 2026-27 season are the Yeast sisters, Timberlyn and Teigh, from Harrodsburg, Kentucky.
Transferring in from WNIT National Champion Marshall, older sister, Timberlyn, will head to RMU as a 5-9 redshirt junior guard and forward. During the Herd's historic run last season, Timberlyn was named to the WNIT All-Tournament Team after finishing with double figures in three of Marshall's five tournament victories. For Marshall, she appeared in 32 games while making a career-high 14 starts. and led the team with 157 rebounds, including a team-leading 113 defensive boards. She also averaged 6.4 points per game during her redshirt sophomore year.
During the 2024-25 season at Marshall, Timberlyn made 33 appearances for the Herd, while earning six starts. On the season, Timberlyn had 16 games with five-plus points and nine games with five or more rebounds.
Joining Timberlyn on the court will be her younger sister, Teigh Yeast, who will enter her freshman year as a 5-9 guard from George Rogers Clark High School. During her high school career, Teigh amassed 1,927 career points while being selected to the Courier Journal's 2025-26 All-State girls basketball first team after averaging 12.2 points and 3.9 rebounds while helping the Cardinals go 33-2 and win their first state championship, earning Sweet 16 MVP Honors.
Along with her All-State nod during the 2025-26 season, Teigh was named the 2025-26 Co-10th Region Player of the Year by the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches. Before last season, Teigh had also been named to the Courier Journal's 2024-25 All-State Girls Basketball Third Team, the Lexington Herald All-State Third Team, and was voted seventh in the Courier Journal's ranking of the top 30 high school girls basketball players in Kentucky. A multi-sport athlete, Teigh was also a nine-time Kentucky state champion in track while playing volleyball as well.
FLASHY GUARD
Coming to RMU from Kent State is 5-5 guard and Pennsylvania native Meghan Murray. Murray spent her first two seasons with the Golden Flashes, appearing in 66 games. In her most recent season at Kent, Murray totaled 45 points, 28 rebounds, 17 assists, and nine steals in 190 minutes played on the season. During her freshman season, Murray made two career starts and finished the season with an average of 2.9 points and 1.7 assists per game.
ALOHA!
Heading to Moon Township from the Aloha State is 5-8 guard Ella Collins. Collins, a native of Canberra, Australia, spent her freshman season at Hawai'i, appearing in 12 games for the Rainbow Wahine and scoring her first collegiate basket against Santa Clara.
Before Hawai'i, Collins played for the Illawarra Hawks in NBL1 in Australia in the spring of 2025, as well as playing for Canberra in the Australian NBL1 East in 2024. Collins was a five-time state team player and averaged 10.17 points and 4.5 rebounds for Australian Capital Territory over six games in the U20 National Championships in February of 2024.
GRADUATE GUARD GREENBURG
Former George Mason and Brown 5-9 guard Page Greenburg will join the Colonials for her graduate season. Greenburg spent the last three seasons at George Mason, appearing in 56 games for the Patriots. Last season, Greenburg appeared in 30 games and finished the season with 78 points, 40 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals, and three blocks.
Greenburg started her collegiate career at Brown, appearing in 19 games while earning two starts. She averaged 6.3 minutes, 2.3 points, and 0.4 rebounds per game while finishing the year with 10 steals and seven assists
MAEVA MAGIC
The Colonials picked up 6-2 graduate student center Maeva Fotsa from Austin Peay. Fotsa, a native of Quebec, Canada, spent her last season at Austin Peay, appearing in 25 games and earning two starts for the Senators. For the Senators, she averaged 8.0 minutes, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.5 points per game. Fotsa finished the season with 37 points, 46 rebounds, five assists, and a steal.
Before Austin Peay, Fotsa spent her junior year at George Washington, while starting her collegiate career at South Georgia Tech. At South George Tech, Fotsa played in 59 games over two years for the Jets, making 16 starts. Over two seasons, Fotsa averaged 7.9 points and 6.9 rebounds. During her sophomore year, Fotsa scored in double figures 19 times with four 20-or more point games.
ALL HALE LAYLA
One of just two freshmen on the 2026-27 roster, Layla Hale will come to RMU from Cincinnati, Ohio, and West Clermont High School. At West Clermont, Hale finished her career with 1,300 points and became the all-time leading scorer and rebounder.
During her senior year, Hale was named All-Conference First Team and First Team All-City. As a junior, Hale was named to the All-Conference First Team, First Team All-City, First Team All-District, Second Team All-State, and was named Co-Player of the Year. In her sophomore campaign, the 6-0 forward was named All-Conference First Team, First Team All-City, First Team All-District, and Third Team All-State. Hale started her high school career being named to All-conference First Team, Honorable Mention All-State, Second Team All-District, and First Team All-City.
RETURNING ROSTER
Returning to the Colonials this season are all-conference recipients Eva Levingston and Myriam Traore, along with Sanai Troutman, Mallory Daly, London Creach, and Ava Leroux.
